Day 001:Gen 1-3
Fav verse:
“This is the account of the creation of the heavens and earth”
Reflection:
This is my first day of hearing The LORD’S words and I realised how little I knew about our beginning as children of God. I have and I think we all, even the wisest christian we know, have so much to learn about the God who created us. We have a book from about the beginning of everything we know today; and all we can do is take in every truth we can and discover and apply what we know to further our walk with Christ
Day 002:Gen 4-7
Fav verse:
“But I will confirm my covenant with you. So enter the boat-you and your wife and sons and their Wives”
Reflection:
Noah saw no sign of a great flood impending but just had to trust in the Lords word and again when having to trust that entering the boat will keep them safe. God is the Ark of our safety and anytime he calls us to do work in his glory do not worry even if something goes wrong God will rescue us.
Day 003:Gen 8-11
Fav verse:
“I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is sign of my covenant with you and with all the earth”
Reflection:
There are many times in our life where we will go through hard times and we may in our struggle forget God is with us during the storm. He sees what we go through and he wants us to keep faith
Day 004:Job 1-5
Fav verse:
“In all of this, Job did not sin by blaming God.”
Reflection:
Job had great respect and fear of God. That even in his greatest struggles he din’t curse God for the grief he was feeling. Even when his wife asks him to curse God he maintained his integrity and remained blameless and it was that God could use to turn everything he lost to everything he could have gained.
Day 005:Job 6-9
Fav verse:
“He will once again fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy”
Reflection:
God uses our lowly moments to build us back up to our rightful positions. God always promises that no matter what storm we go through he will restore our joy we just need to trust and be obedient so that when the time comes there is nothing stopping us from receiving our blessings. Have a new perspective on your hard time and trust that the LORD knows how to get us through it.
Day 006:Job 10-13
Fav verse:
“But true wisdom and power are found in God; counsel and understanding are his”
Reflection:
Our heart is deceiving and our flesh will try to turn us from God. And that is just what comes with our freewill but we do not have to fight it alone when we struggle and feel doubt knowing that God has true wisdom. He knows our heart and the hearts of others and should always always be who you seek first for guidance.
Day 007:Job 14-16
Fav verse:
“But if it were me, I would encourage you. I would try to take away your grief.”
Reflection:
It’s not for us to know why we suffer, and we do not have the power to take suffering or justify it. But we do know someone who can do all of this and that is God. When we remain patient and keep faith in the face of struggle we can help someone’s confidence that their grief is not forever but God’s love for us is.
