Day 008: Job 17-20

                            Fav verse:

“Even if I have sinned, that is my concern not yours.”

                            Reflection:

God is the only person who is truly righteous enough to judge, we are not all knowing like God. The only sins we truly know of is our own and only us and God know the actions we are taking to overcome them and the same applies to everyone else. The only person we should judge when it comes to sin is the tempter who is causing everyone to suffer from them.

Day 009: Job 21-23

                           Fav verse:

“So he will do to me whatever he has planned. He controls my destiny”

                          Reflection:

Job was in agony with his suffering and it’s understandable that he is feeling a little worried about his whole future in someone else’s hands. But we need to remember who’s hands hold our lives, God always has our best interests at heart and he has proved time and time again through his words that we never need to fear his plans for our lives.

Day 010:Job 24-28

                             Fav verse:

“I will maintain my innocence without wavering, My conscience is clear as long as I live.”

                             Reflection:

There will always be someone trying to bring you down, especially when God’s blessing is most noticeable to the world and it will be hard to try and not prove yourself but most of the time this is only done through vanity. God knows your heart and he has seen your hard work and that is all you need, their judgement will only speak for a minute of your life but God’s judgement determines your eternity.

Day 011:Job 29-31

                          Fav verse:

“I cry to you, O God, but you don’t answer. I stand before you, but you don’t even look”

                          Reflection:

Everyone in their walk of faith has felt at one moment that God does not hear them. God always hears when you speak to him and he always answers but it is our weak minds that expects the answer to come in a certain way and at a certain time. When you think God is saying “no” try and see that God might just be saying “not yet”. Trust and wait. I tell you God is always on time.

Day 012:Job 32-34

                          Fav verse:

“He doesn’t care how great a person may be, and he pays no more attention to the rich than the poor”

                           Reflection:

God loves all his children the same. Some are called to positions on this earth that are higher than ours but at the end of the day we are all called to God. We are a representation of his love and his love for us does not have favourites.

Day 013:Job 35-37

                             Fav verse:

“You say you cannot see him, but he will bring justice if you just wait.”

                             Reflection:

Just because you can’t see God working does not mean he is not. True justice takes time. He will right any wrong in life and restore our name  just as he did for Job. So bring your desires against those who have caused you pain to God, He will deal with them in his timing. Trust and rest in his justice.

Day 014:Job 38-39

                             Fav verse:

“Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell me if you know so much.”

                              Reflection:

None of us have first hand knowledge of what God did, none of us were there. Yet we walk around with verses ready to roll off our tongues in fight but it’s important for us to realise that we are all still pupils to the one mighty teacher. We should never preach for the sake of lording over others but for the sake of being able to learn with others, on what God is trying to teach us.

Your reflection:

What has been a verse this week that you felt was a personal message from God for your life?

What have you learnt that could bring into next week’s reflections?

Many thanks for reading and and join me again next week!
