Day 015: Job 40-42
Fav verse:
“I know that you can do anything and no one can stop you”
Reflection:
There is a lot about ourselves and the world we don’t truly know about and our future is one of them but then why do we need to know the future? When we know it is in God’s hands and there is nothing above him. So free yourselves from the need to figure everything out and just walk in perfect peace knowing God will get you there.
Day 016: Gen 12-15
Fav verse:
“And I will give you so many descendants that, like the dust of the earth, they cannot be counted”
Reflection:
Our heavenly father is so generous and he wants to give you your desires but only if they will bring you life long blessing and glory to his name. And sometimes that means a bigger picture than the human limitations of life. Increase your courage even if what God calls for your life seems impossible because he conquers any earthly limitation.
Day 017:Gen 16-18
Fav verse:
“I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you.”
Reflection:
We should always be willing to serve God and remember our covenant because only God can answer our prayers and give us blessings. He promises many times that our obedience will be remembered and the blessing that it brings will show even in our descendants lives. He has been here since our beginning and he will be here long after our end. He never abandons us.
Day 018:Gen 19-21
Fav verse:
“Then I will do for Abraham everything I have promised”
Reflection:
Go keeps his word and never breaks a promise. He will never stand in the way of us receiving grace but many times it is us who break our promises and that is what stands in the way of our relationship with God. So next time you want to give up or walk away from Christ know that he will always deliver his promises.
Day 019:Gen 22-24
Fav verse:
“Then I bowed low and worshipped the LORD. I praised the LORD”
Reflection:
God loves giving blessings to his children, he wants us to be happy. So find no wrong in calling upon God with prayer but ask yourself when was the last time you gave thanks or showed any form of gratitude for what you have already been blessed with, even something as simple as your favourite seasons or your favourite food. Take time to truly praise God, he is not a genie he is our heavenly father.
Day 020:Gen 25-26
Fav verse:
“Do not be afraid for I am with you and will bless you”
Reflection:
It is hard when you first come to Christ or come back, the fear the devil will try to steer you with is not easy to fight but remember you are not a one man army. God and his angels are fighting with you. Jesus didn’t die so you could quit, he did it so he could save you. He as our saviour gives us enough power to persevere through anything.
Day 021: Gen 27-29
Fav verse:
“So Jacob worked seven years to pay for Rachel. But his love for her was so strong that it seemed to him but a few days.”
Reflection:
Don’t we all want a love that years of hard work for seems merely days. For me this was a sign that the love God will bring is always worth the wait. Jacob ended up working 14 years to marry his wife and some of us get frustrated that God will not bring us one in a few months. God will never bring you anything less than what you deserve but it will always be on his timing.
Your reflections:
What has been a verse this week that you felt was a personal message from God for your life?
What have you learnt about God that you could bring into next week’s reflections?
Many thanks for reading and and join me again next week!
