Day 064: Num 23-25

                            Fav verse:

‘I promised to reward you richly but God has kept you from your reward.’- 24:11

                            Reflection:

Hatred and anger reaps no reward. The tempter may make it seem as if God is stopping you but any set back by God could be protection, the reward we would get is perfect but the way in which we deal with the reward may not be. God will never give us something that can turn us away from him. Have a heavenly perspective and know God only works in our favour.

Day 065: Num 26-27

                           Fav verse:

‘Take Joshua son of Nun, who has the spirit in him.’- 27:18

                           Reflection:

The LORD is organised and makes sure that nobody is given work without the proper tools and reward. Just as God chose Joshua due to him having the spirit, we have the ability to welcome the spirit within us too. Whatever position God puts you in, in life. Know that he will give you everything you need to do his work well.

Day 066: Num 28-30

                           Fav verse:

‘Also offer one male goat to purify yourselves and make yourselves right with the LORD.’- 29:30

                             Reflection:

Look at how much detail and organisation goes into the sacrifices. It may seem a lot to have to do but it was for the Israelites benefits and not for the entertainment of God. All of God’s actions and desires are for our benefit and protection, he gives so many chances for his children to atone and make themselves right with him. Never let sins make you think God does not want you. As long as you ask, he will make a way for you to get back on your feet.

Day 067: Num 31-32

                          Fav verse:

‘But all who bears arms will cross over to fight for the LORD, just as you have said’- 32:27

                          Reflection:

Know that any battle we may fight in our life is for God’s glory not greed. As we have never fought a battle without him and won. He is with us and it is his power that allows us to conquer our flesh and sins. Your fears and the doubts of others cannot hinder God, as long as you obey he will act.

Day 068: Num 33-34

                          Fav verse:

‘Take possession of the land because I have given it to you to occupy.’- 33:53

                           Reflection:

It’s wonderful to look at all the places God was with the Israelites, protecting and saving them. Even when they had a lack of faith and sinned, God gave them ways to make themselves right with him and stayed watching over them for 40 years. While they lost out on the promised land he didn’t leave them with nothing, giving them successful battles one after another and new land that comes with it. It’s heartwarming to know he is willing to do the same for us.

Day 069: Num 35-36

                             Fav verse:

‘These cities are for the protection of Israelites, foreigners living among you, and travelling merchants’- 35:15

                             Reflection:

God gives protection and acts in just ways to everyone who loves him. Even in circumstances where we may think someone does not deserve it. God knows their hearts and understands their motives, this is the same grace he gives to us. So do not let someone make you question the legitimacy of your walk with Christ. God is the city of refuge for us when we sin, Jesus died so we could go to God for protection and forgiveness no matter who we are.

Day 070: Deut 1-2

                             Fav verse:

‘Look I am giving this land to you!Go occupy it, for it is the land the LORD swore to give to your ancestors..’- 1:8

                              Reflection:

We are called by God to work for his Glory so it can show in our life but he knows us better than we do ourselves and he gives us only what we can handle, nothing less and nothing more. As with the battles during the Israelites wandering, God will never give to us what does not belong to us, he only ever conquers the land he has designed for us. So be careful when you covet another person’s land, your fruits may not bloom well in their soil. Let Christ guide you.
