So welcome to the book corner of this community!

I have learned so much through my life experiences from talking to women around the world and from my personal study of gods word that has helped me develop a thriving relationship with Christ. Now I want to share that knowledge with you. The bible you are holding includes 365 devotional. That will help you learn how to thrive in Christ as you walk with him each day.

My review:

After coming into faith in the new year, I had spent two months watching Bible studying on YouTube. When I realised that I wanted to dedicate more effort daily into understanding and reading the word of God. And I wanted that to be from my own Bible so went onto amazon and brought Thrive.

The opening of the book covers over 38 pages that help explain thrive and the design, for example you get an introduction to Thrive, Content page, Character profiles and topical indexs on the devotionals. The index of Sheris devotionals have been a huge help as it categories them into subjects such as Hope, trusting in god and worry to name a few (and there are several pages worth of them). These allow you to easily find the devotion that you need without having to make your own tabs. It’s good to be able to just pick it up, find what you need help on, flick to that page and read.

Once you then come out of these opening page you are taken straight into the actual Biblical text. Broken up into 2 sections, Old Testament and New Testament with the subcategorories of each book starting on a new page. Also please note that this is a devotional Bible and not a study one, no detailed concordances or mapping etc.

What you do get is a 7 to 8 line paragraph at the start of each book; covering its topics and on some pages you will find character profiles. This is helpful particularly those who want enough information to understand what they can learn from the story without having to do an independent analysis of the text. In terms of text The New Living Translation makes it very easy to understand and the lettering is decently sized and hardly no interference with the structureof the paragraphs apart from the devotional prayers.

Now the devotionals generally take up a page on the right side of the page and on the left side is a small pink box of prayer sepwrating two paragraphs of text. I really liked this layout and how they included the devotionals. The structure of these going from top to bottom; is a verse from the text, a love letter from God, A reflection and then a treasure of truth. This a singular sentence that covers the topic of the devotional and makes it easier if it’s something you want to try and memorise. The pink prayer box is short and gets to the point, this is particularly helpful to those struggling with what to say in prayer or note that their prayers are repetitive.

Having used this bible For 2 months now, I am really happy I brought it. This is a great introduction bible or a great Bible to get after doing studying when you Just want something to help you remember the character of God? And New Living Translation makes it easier to understand plus with the lack of writing margin and extra studying pages its a more compact version than others on the market. With it’s beautiful cover and pages I’ve found it very easy to come back to for daily reading.

So here we are, I hope you enjoyed this review and I hope your bible studying is going well or if you are new inspires you start reading the bible. May God bless and protect you all!
