Day 127: 2Sam 6-7 + 1Ch 17

                            Fav verse:

‘And David danced before the LORD with all his might, wearing a priestly garment’ 6:13

                            Reflection:

You can use the Bible and Gods promises within it to call out to him and help him to bring hid promises to fulfillment in your life. Gods promises become a reality as we walk in them, and in these precious moments you are allowed to celebrate them even if there are those that do not want to experience Gods joy, we should make the choice to praise LORD regardless of other peoples opinions or reactions. When you focus your happiness around God no one can steal it.

Day 128: Psalm 25,29,33,36,39

                           Fav verse:

‘For the word of the LORD hold true, we can trust everything he does.’ 33:4

                           Reflection:

Keep hope going through it all. We will find the power to keep our hope in God when we speak of Gods truths to ourselves. When going through tough times we need to remember that we will not always be in that spot and God will give us the ability to smile again and experience happiness here on earth before we go into heaven. As we trust in Gods word that he will lavish his blessings on those who obey him, it will serve as a testimony for us to remember when our faith feels unstable and will be for others to see that God alone takes care of his Children.

Day 129:2Sam 8-9 + 1Ch 18

                           Fav verse:

‘Then the King asked him, “Is anyone alive from Saul’s family? If so, I want to show God’s kindness to them.” 9:3

 Reflection:

We are Gods humble servants and we live for the day when God will tell us we have been good ones. As his treasured possessions we represent him here on earth when we do good, but there may be times we struggle to do for me forgiven those who upset is a internal fight and if you are the same may I direct you to verse 9:34. That forgiveness is not about me or my feelings, it’s not even about those who did wrong but about God. It’ about his heart and character and that the same grace he gives us when we sin we should give to others. So that when the situation is brought up we can direct others to the only other person who will show them the same kindness and that is the LORD. It may just be the planting of the mustard seed that others need to grow their faith.

Day 130: Psalm 50,53,60,75

                          Fav verse:

‘The LORD, the Mighty One, is God, and he has spoken; he has summoned all humanity from where the sun rises to where it sets.’ 50:1

                          Reflection:

The LORD has made his ways known through all of creation, through his word and through his son Jesus. Seek him with all your heart and he will show himself to you, when the sunrises God is wishing you a good morning and when the sunset God is wishing you a goodnight. God created everything you see and all that your senses can enjoy, so that no matter where you are or what you are doing you can be reminded of how real and present he is. Just because your heavenly father is not stood before you in person does not mean he is not real.

Day 131: 2Sam 10 + 1Ch 19 + Psalm 20

                          Fav verse:

‘Be courageous! Let us fight bravely four our people and the cities of our God. May the LORD’s will be done.’ 19:13

                           Reflection:

There will be times when what you have to face will be daunting whether it is going to church for the first time or going out in public and spreading the gospel to something even smaller like just opening your Bible. But as what we fear changes as we ourselves and our level of faith changes the truth is that God does not and he is with us through all of it,God has great plans and blessings for you and nothing can stand in his way but our obedience. So if you can’t find the strength in yourself to be courageous you can always find it in God.

Day 132: Psalm 65-67,69,70

                             Fav verse:

‘If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the LORD will not have listened.’ 66:18

                             Reflection:

Confessing sins is important because we are human and we will continue to fight temptations. Sometimes we may even give in. When we battle with sin we are battling the weakness of our flesh but that is why you call upon God as he with no weakness can be our saviour. Greater is God who is in us than the temptations of this world, stay close to the LORD and confess your sins so that you can remain clean. But do not worry when you feel that you are spiritually dirty because God knows our frailty, and he is our faithful father who will love us through all the good and the bad.

Day 133: 2Sam 11-12 + 1Ch 20

                                  Fav verse:

‘Then David confessed to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD”. Nathan replied “yes, but the LORD has forgiven you and you won’t die for this sin.” 12:13

                              Reflection:

When you walk away from God you are rejecting his protection. Just like David because he was not out on the battlefield where he should have been, he fell into two sins; Adultery and Murder. Each day God gives us a purpose but it is us who makes the decision to follow and live out his will. It’s important that we place ourselves under Gods protection and guidance because even though we may still sin and like David have to face the consequences, God will still care about us and offer us back into his arms. So that we can once again walk with him and know that it is better to battle for what is right than suffer the consequences of doing wrong.
