Top 5 Vintage fashion shops I love.

Vintage fashion can be hard to shop for, luckily over the year due to social media the increase of people expressing themselves through vintage fashion has increased and so have the shops that cater to them.

Below are my top 5 shops which have truly helped build up my wardrobe, each with different price range I hope you can find something that suits you

1- Seamstress of Bloomsbury

They design and make clothes inspired by the 1940’s and have everything from dresses to knitwear with authentic signature fabric

My favourite item from them is the Poppy Blouse. It has the most beautiful style sleeves and is great for casual and more tailored styling.

2 – House of Foxy

This shop has a wider range of era specific clothing. They cater to styles from the 1930’s to the 1970’s.

However, their prices are some of the more expensive on this list so I like to make it count and invest in their evening dresses. Such as their 1930’s dresses with fabrics of velvet and satin/silk.

3- Vivien of Holloway

This is the shop for really good trousers and great designed 1940’s-50s dresses with some of the most unique fabric prints. These can be great statement clothing.

Now I love their trousers and their dresses, they cater to all the seasons with more expensive but worth it wool trousers and satin circle skirts. I fell in love their Nadine dress which has the most beautiful peplum i have seen.

4- British Retro

Next, This shop specialises in 1950’s clothing and accessories. Their company only makes limited quantity so you’ll stand out.

Next their Bonny circle skirts are a classic they come in so many tartan colours and the company sells matching petticoats for picture worth outfits.

5- Weekend Doll

Finally, this shop offers clothing inspired by the 1930’s and 40’s. There items are more suited to day casual wear.

Also, I love their Jersey tops especially the Maggie top. I find their clothing great for building up your confidence in wearing vintage daily.

Many thanks for reading and share some of your favourite shops to buy clothes from.
